You can configure your CenturyLink Mail account on your Android device as IMAP. You need to ensure that you have enabled IMAP access for your account by logging into CenturyLink.

To begin with, you need to enable IMAP Access of your account.
Log in to CenturyLink Mail and Enable IMAP in the CenturyLink Mail Settings page. Save the Settings.
Select Settings >> Mail from your Android Main Menu
Certain versions of Android, require you to navigate to Apps >> Mail. Consult the help of your specific Android version, to locate the Mail App
Select Add Account >> Other
Select IMAP
Enter the accounts Email Address and Password, 
Click Manual Setup.
